a "quick" precis from the spectating injured skip (journalist)lol. Broomhall without a number of "stars" and Matt on his skippering debut, found it a little tough going at first with Largo on 40-1, but good frequent field placings and bowling changes,with 3 quick Ian Bold wkts, skittled out Largo for 99, with the 3 youngsters playing superbly and only 3 drops this week. Making a steadyish start, Broomhall made heavy weather of the target, on 39-4, when Stuart and Ian steadied the ship despite 2 early drops off of Ian, taking the score to 90-5 for the skip to help steer us home despite 1 early skyer. Well played also Largo which made for an enjoyable and exciting game to watch, let alone play in. Last weeks tenseness to get a win led to this weeks enjoyable game.
