Largo 3rd XI v Broomhall Cricket Club 2nd XI on Sat 24 Jul 2010 at 13:00
Broomhall Cricket Club Won by 38 runs

Match report At a dry and unprepared Station Park, due to last weeks open, runs would be hard to attain, as the outfield and square were a tad on the very long side, ball could have been lost in it. An excellent game played in the right spirits by both sides. This game could have gone either way. Some excellent bowling by Largo, and some dogged defence in the middle by the oldies, ensured Broomhall reached 100. Heads were down but were lifted, as our 10 players were effectively reduced to 9 with an injury to young Ali Gudgin, who would have made his debut of opening the bowling, with some stunning catches by J Hynd, and superb bowling by Paul Gudgin, with a makeshift bowling attack of Mike and Charlie in support, 3 early wickets including the big one of Frankland, set spirits racing, and despite 4 relatively easy dropped catches and 2 missed stumpings, the bowling of Paul and Charlie shone through. Well fought Largo, with their mixture of oldies and youth, too.
