Match report On a sticky wicket, due to the previous days downpour, Broomhall were put in to bat, and got off to a flier but were soon pegged back as scoting became difficult, largely due to the movement off the seam from Carnegies strong bowling attack, with only Mike on his 50th and Chris able to get going, and when on 77-6 and then 91-7 thingas looked bleak, but a dogged batting performance from vice captain on the day Gary, and some hefty knocks once settled by Phil and Goodie, and a last over 9 runs by Gary, showing his able capabilities to push the pace when needed, 165 looked useful, as it proved as Carnegie found the going very tough, but without the loss of wickets, at drinks the score on 62-2, but some good tight bowling and the steady fall of wickets from cHRIS AND pHIL made the result a lot closer than first thought, with Jerry taking on the bowling and looking very likely to see them home, with 2 overs remaining, needed 27, and 3 wickets left, took on Gary and won, leaving them with 10 needed off the last, then Chris bowled impeccably accurately and removed his off stump, and effectively winning the game. This was a good game, well played by both sides. Not bad for a team made largely of 2's and 3's players against a div 4 side, Chris, Gary and Damian being the exceptions. Well played Guys. Mike
