Match report The first ever U18 Broomhall entry into the Scottish Cup saw Jack Hynd winning the toss and deciding to field with the Dunfermline openers - J Davidson and B Wilkinson putting on 33 by the end of the 3rd over when Ravi Mandal took the wicket of Jordon. The runs kept coming with wickets falling at regular intervals and a fair spread of the wickets amongst the Broomhall bowlers. Dunfermline finishing on 136. Some good fileding and a few near miss run outs saw Dunfermline finish on probably a score of 20 too many.
Jack and Neil opened the batting and were restricted to 14 in the 4th over when Neil lost his wicket.Danny then joined Jack and added another 7 runs before Jack was run out.Ravi joined Danny and another partnership started but failed unfortunatly with Danny losing his wicket to another runout. Ieuan came in and played himself in for five balls (with jeers from the crowd about it not being a test match!), next ball four!A partnership of 64 brought the Broomhall crowd to their feet until Ieuan lost his wicket with the score on 109 needing 27 to win. Grant and Ravi took the score to 121 on the last ball. A good spirited match played by both teams - good luck to Dunfermline in the next round.
