Match report Largo won the toss and chose to bat, Goodie and Ieuan took to the crease at 1301hrs, Goodie was back in the pavilion at 1305hrs! Disaster in the first over. Ian Bold replaced him and started playing some classic shots, the score started ticking along nicely. Then Ieuan Ward who felt a little left out smacked one straight down the ground into the elbow of the other batsman, a glance into the air and the ball was held by a fielder, Ian was down and Ieuan was out for 25!
Robin came in scored 5 and was bowled by the a looping slower ball straight onto his bails. An excellent partnership was to follow when Neil Miller strode to the crease - a 113 partnership followed with 6s and 4s being hit all around the ground. Neil reached his first 50 in an IPL style 44 balls before hitting one to the oldest man on the park 60(something) Dick Dakin as sprightly as ever - well done Neil.
Ian Bold continued, passed 50, 75 assisted by Euan Breen and Paul Stringer(on return from foreign climes) and on to 100, finishing on 112 - excellent bat Ian - well done. Phil Ward broke his string of 3 ducks and finished on 16 Not Out.

Fielding, and injury prone Ian Bold fell to one of his many ageing body parts - Ali Gudgin stood up to the plate and fielded in his day/night strip.
The wickets were spread nicely amongst the bowlers with Paul Stringer, Ieuan, Euan and Lisa (best wicket of the day) taking one each and Neil Miller finishing his day off with 2 Caught and Bowled. Mike Warren and Ian Barron turning up to take some notes for the 2nds and Mid week teams respectively - advice from the side lines was also very welcome.
