Match report Back to action at last and what a Superb Nessie ton. Missing most of the 2's to the 1's this was a great win for Broomhall, everyone played their part, though Ali Gudge self proclaimed himself the thanks for coming award. Not in my view, his 2 bowling spells were superb without a wkt. What a find in Tom Lucas brilliant spell of bowling to wrap up Edinburghs innings, just when they looked like surpassing 200 at 154-5, bowled out for 186 . A couple of handy bowling changes and field changes helped too, and a great Phil catch at speed at sq leg. Stu and Nessie opened as he needed to leave by 5.30, Mike came in at 20-1, and guided us with Nessie to 87-2, then a good catch got mike, Robin came in and the anti was upped and the two put on the accellarator, Nessie ton included 10 6's, one off his first ball and 4 in one over, consecutively, followed by a solid forward defence. Once ton reached he got out and ali looked nervous going in and it showed, despite a good on drive. Phil then came in for Ali and he and Robin steerd us home for the last 30 runs. Great performance guys. Daves bowling got better as it went on, and only came off so Tom got a bowl, good team effort thanks Lads.
Chris led a mainly 2's team into a win for the 1's, well done guys.
What a day, 6 golds in the Olympics too.
